2026 Transition to School Resource Order Form for Primary Schools

Please provide the date resources are required:

Description: Bring your event to life with these fun freebies available to borrow.

- Costumes to promote fruit, veg and water consumption. There's a water drop, pea pod, carrot and banana to
choose from.

- Blender Bikes are a perfect blend of fun, fitness, nourishment, and sustainability. We have an adult and a kids Blender Bike available to borrow and "mix up" your next event.

Select which resource you'd like to borrow and provide two preferred dates below.

Resources will be distributed on a first come, first served basis. You can select more than one resource.

Description: This is a double sided A5 postcard with ideas of food and drink to pack for a nutritious lunchbox. The front page focuses on vibrant imagery, and links to useful websites. The back page includes general tucker tips for food selection, the five core food groups and links to locally developed recipe videos and books, as well as the Cancer Council Lunchbox Builder.

Description: This is a bookmark for children promoting Crunch&Sip. The front includes cartoon images of vegetables, fruit and water. The back page includes spaces for students to write their name and write and/or draw their favourite vegetable and fruit.

Resource 4: Jack's Funtastic Day - hard copy story book

Jack's FUNtastic Day is a storybook about a boy named Jack who leaves his screen behind for a day to embark on a fun-finding expedition. Along the way he meets Ruby and together they discover that fun and games can be found just about anywhere. This storybook was created for children in the 3 to 6 year old age group.

Childhood Anxiety and Transition to School Webinar

for Early Stage 1 Teachers and Early Childhood Educators

When: Tuesday 11th August 2026

             5:30pm- 6:45pm

Where: online via Zoom

Central Coast Local Health District in partnership with Wayahead NSW Mental Health Association are offering Early Childhood Educators and Early Stage 1 Teachers an opportunity to come together to consider the issues around transition to school for children who experience anxiety. 

Topics include:

• Understanding childhood anxiety
• Separation anxiety 
• Strategies to help children in both Preschool and Kindergarten settings

The webinar can be watched with your team or individually.

Northern Sydney Local Health District offers a series of free, 1-2 minute videos that provide practical ideas to help parents, carers, Early Childhood Educators and teachers to support a positive start to school.

The video series covers important skills including:  

• Movement skills (fine and gross motor skills)
• Self-management skills (emotional regulation)
• Interpersonal skills (communication skills)

There are specific videos for primary school teachers and for parents and carers. They can be linked to from your school's online platforms.
